The Union Public Service Commission has been organizing the Central Armed Police Form ie CAPF examination every year for the appointment of Assistant Commandant (AC). Millions of candidates have to participate every year in the examination of the CAPF. Candidates who will pass in UPSC’s CAPF examination, they have elected as Assistant Commandant (AC) in Indian Paramilitary forces such as BSF, CRPF, CISF ITBP and SSB.
This examination is organized at the national level by the UPSC. This year the examination is scheduled to be held in the month of June. Examination dates already have issued by the UPSC. For which, online applications have been invited by the Commission from April 12, 2017. Interested candidates can apply for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination 2017 through online of the Commission’s official website or the direct link given below of this post. Official notification for the examination of the CAPF by the Union Public Service Commission will be released on April 12, 2017.
Interested and eligible candidates can download the notification from the Commission’s official website. Candidates should send their application after reading the eligibility given in the notification and the guidelines for filling the application form properly.
UPSC CAPF AC Application Form:
For the examination of the CAPF, the Commission has not sought the application form in hard copy, but the applicant has to apply online through the Commission’s website. Candidates who want to apply for UPSC’s CAPF examination can apply online from 12th April 2017. For this, going to the Commission’s website and read the instructions carefully regarding CAPF application process. Continue the process forward sequentially.
After a thorough reading, all the instructions are given for the application form and eligibility and check your educational qualification. If you are eligible to apply, then only start the online application process. It is mandatory to submit an application fee before submitting an application form. For which the application fees of 200 rupees have been fixed by the Commission. The application fee is also to be deposited online. After submitting the application fee, your application will be fully accepted. The information will be provided to you via email or via phone as a text message.
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant:
Candidates applying for the UPSC CAPF Examination of Union Public Service Commission are required to complete the qualifications set by the Commission. For this, it is necessary for a person to be an Indian citizen. Any female and the male candidate can apply for this examination of the paramilitary force. Female and male candidates can apply for CRPF, CISF, SSB and BSF post. But female candidates can not apply for ITBP post. As an educational qualification, a person must have a bachelor’s degree in a recognized university. The age of the person should be between 20 years to 25 years for these posts. Age will be calculated on 1 August 2017.
Candidates of the reserved category will be given relaxation in age limit as per rules issued by the Government of India. For a selection of the above positions, a person should be physically fit. And it is necessary to meet the physical norms set by the Commission.
CAPF AC Written Examination Syllabus:
The CAPF Assistant Commandant exam will have two types of question paper in the written examination. In it, the first question paper will be of objective type. This examination will be of 250 marks. In this examination, questions related to General Ability and Intelligence will be asked. This question paper will be in both Hindi and English languages. Questions related to General Ability will be based on various topics such as Social Science, Political, Geography, History, and Current Affairs. The second question paper will be of General Studies and essay. This question paper will also be in both languages – Hindi and English. In this, the candidate must solve this question paper by selecting a language. A maximum of 200 marks has been prescribed for this question paper. Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for an examination of the second stage i.e. for physical examination and health examination. That is, it is necessary to pass the first-phase examination to join the second phase of the examination. Candidates are expected to practice as per the courses or syllabus given for preparation of written examination.
CAPF Physical Examination:
Physical examination of the CRPF Assistant Commandant will be organized on the basis of criteria set by the Commission. Candidates who meet the criteria set by the Commission will be considered eligible for selection at the said positions. The final selection will be done on the basis of written examination and physical examination and health test. Candidates receiving maximum marks will be ranked in the order of priority on the basis of their marks.
UPSC CAPF AC Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and physical criteria and health test by the Union Public Service Commission in the posts of the CAPF Assistant Commandant. According to documentation verification, eligible candidates for the examination of the CRPF will be called for written examination. Candidates passing in written examination will be invited for physical criteria examination and health test. Candidates passing in both the examinations will be appointed for the CAPF Assistant Commandant on the basis of priority rank. Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Commandant will be provided a provisional appointment for the first 2 years. After that the basis of their satisfactory achievement in this period, Regular appointments will be provided.
Important Dates of UPSC CAPF AC Examination:
The CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination will be organized by the Union Public Service Commission on the basis of examinations conducted in different phases. This process will be completed after the all stages of examination such as- submission of application form, Conduct the written test, physical examination and personal examination. The dates of these examinations that have been done in different phases have already been announced by the Commission. The changes in examination dates can be made only in special circumstances.
